Who are we?
We are a group of relatively young and determined attorneys who believe that justice must not be rationed to favour the rich and powerful in any society at the expense of ordinary citizens. We believe that equal justice for all means that no one should be denied legal representation because of a lack of resources with which to hire counsel for judicial proceedings.
What do we do?
Consequent to our belief in equal protection of the law for all citizens, we have established HelpLaw Ghana to provide free legal and related services to the poor and the less privileged in our society. Our focus is on representing accused indigent persons in criminal proceedings, including women, children, the youth, individuals with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of the populace.
Where do we work?
We are currently representing clients in Accra and the surrounding areas and are hoping to attract the necessary funding to expand quickly to other parts of Ghana
